Woke up this morning with a large spot in my left eye - as if I'd looked directly into a light bulb. With eyes closed it
Customer: woke up this morning with a large green spot in my left eye - as if I'd looked directly into a light bulb.I woke up this morning and my right eye has a large dark red spot that is C shaped and look like it might be brokenit's been an ongoing problem for 10 hours and no flashes are occuring at all. It is a steady / constant large oval shape, not a floater & not spots or dots, but very large oval.
Green Spot Irish Whiskey is a tasty whiskey with a lot of great character to it. Warm sweet malty nose and palate make for something that is fun to drink and tasty. It’s overall a touch light, but that single pot still character is present and tasty. I can’t help but enjoy it.
Green Spot Irish Whiskey is a single pot still whiskey that’s aged for 7-10 years which would make it a 7 year whiskey (you always use the lowest aged whiskey in a bottle), but Midleton decided to leave it as a No Age Statement (NAS) whiskey. Which is odd to me because they disclose the 7-10 age range on their site.OVERALL Green Spot Irish Whiskey is a tasty whiskey with a lot of great character to it. It’s overall a touch light, but that single pot still character is present and tasty.Good reply to the troll ..I remember watching a YouTube reviewer noting in his op that green spot and red breast are 2 great examples of different style but complimentary whiskeys ..love your reviews…please keep them going.I had a bit of this with my wife’s salted caramel apple pie and thought I had gone to heaven. I’m no Irish whiskey connoisseur, but I’m a big fan of this bottle, and it’s going to inspire me to move up the Spots.

Green Spot is a single pot still Irish whiskey, produced specifically for Mitchell & Son of Dublin by Irish Distillers at the Midleton Distillery in County Cork, Ireland. Green Spot is one of the few remaining bonded Irish whiskeys, along with Mitchell's three older offerings, Yellow Spot, Red Spot, and Blue Spot.Mitchell & Son's whiskey was originally marketed as "Pat Whisky", with the labels featuring the logo of a man on a green background. However, in 1933, it was rebranded as "John Jameson & Son 10 Year Old Green Seal" and later became known simply as Green Spot. There was a 7-year-old Blue Spot, a 12-year-old Yellow Spot, and a 15-year-old Red Spot. However, it was the 10-year-old Green Spot that emerged as the company's most popular whiskey, and it was the only Spot whiskey to remain in continuous production until the present.Because Green Spot is produced in limited quantities (only 12,000 bottles per year) and was historically mainly sold through Mitchell's & Son's Dublin shop, it was previously difficult to obtain outside of Ireland. However, in recent years, distribution of Green Spot has become more widespread.Gold Spot was released in commemoration of the 135th year of Spot Whiskey releases by Mitchell & Son in June 2022 using whiskey matured in bourbon barrels, sherry butts, Bordeaux wine casks, and Port pipes, non-chill filtered, aged for 9 years and bottled at 51.4% ABV. Green Spot has received high scores at several international spirit ratings competitions.
In a continued support for crypto, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) have jointly confirmed
Industry leaders see this as a watershed moment. According to Alexander Blume, CEO of Two Prime Digital Assets, “This effectively gives U.S. exchanges the green light to support spot trading in top digital assets, connecting crypto with markets where trillions already flow.”In a continued support for crypto, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) have jointly confirmed that registered exchanges can now facilitate spot crypto trading under existing law.SEC Chair Paul Atkins hailed the move as a turning point, emphasizing that “market participants should have the freedom to choose where they trade spot crypto assets.” CFTC Acting Chair Caroline Pham echoed his sentiment, noting that the era of mixed signals on crypto regulation “is over”.For everyday traders, spot crypto means instant ownership of digital assets at market price, making the process more straightforward than derivatives trading. Analysts believe this clarity could attract institutional players, deepen liquidity, and accelerate mainstream adoption.
The first bottle I bought disappeared the day I brought it home; my wife took me directly from the airport to a party with former colleagues, three of whom were Irish. We tossed the cork away and got stuck into it. No regrets. A few years later, Green Spot arrived in America.
Then, 11 years after that first sip, I met Jonathan Mitchell who helped run his family’s famed wine shop, at the launch of several new single pot still whiskies at the Midleton distillery in Cork, Ireland, where Jameson and Redbreast are both made. We were soon talking eagerly about Green Spot and he told me about the rest of the Spots, which are all made in a classic pot still from both malted and unmalted barely. We talked about all of them, but he only mentioned Blue once, and it became a minor obsession for me. I was able to distract myself with the fact that Green Spot was now available in the States. Then Yellow Spot appeared, and it was brilliantly sweet and intense. He showed me a price list from 1954 with all four Spots listed: 7-year-old Blue, 10-year-old Green, 12- year-old Yellow and 15-year-old Red. “We believe that was the last time all four were being sold,” O’Gorman said.Except for the Green—which no longer has an age statement but it is a blend of whiskies from seven to 10 years old—the ages of the new bottlings are the same. But what are the Spots?

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) issued a joint statement clarifying that current law “does not prohibit” regulated exchange platforms from offering spot cryptocurrency trading. The agencies’ clarification means that traditional exchanges could launch their own spot crypto markets, expanding competition and deepening liquidity.“Today’s joint statement represents a significant step forward in bringing cryptoasset market innovation back to the United States,” said Paul Atkins, Chairman of the SEC. “Market participants should have the freedom to choose where they trade spot cryptoassets.
One would think the Eagles wouldn’t be waiving Green if they were seriously worried about Landon Dickerson, who left Thursday night’s game early due to injury. One would also think that the Eagles have another roster move coming now that they have an open spot to work with.

We looked at a sample of 1,000 online retail listings containing green claims and identified many that were vague, unsubstantiated or overblown. But a 2021 European Commission study found that more than 50% of environmental marketing claims were vague, unfounded and misleading. We trawled through 20,000 online product listings using AI software trained to find green buzzwords, and then our researchers looked at a sample of 1,000 listings containing green claims to identify any that were vague, unsubstantiated or overblown.
An average and tasty dram that ain’t gonna break the bank
The Mitchell family commenced trading as purveyors of fine wines and confectionary in 1805 at 10 Grafton Street in the heart of Dublin. The family would have purchased new-make spirit from the Jameson distillery, which was based in Dublin at the time (now Green Spot hails from the Midleton Distillery in Cork, and produces Jameson, Powers, and the Redbreast range).Pot still Irish whiskey is created using a mixture of malted and un-malted barley before it is triple distilled in copper pot stills. Green Spot now contains spirit which is aged between seven and 10 years and is matured in a selection of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. It comes in at 40% ABV, with the following variations of Green Spot available: Green Spot Château Léoville Barton, finished in Château Léoville Barton French oak casks at 46% ABV – and the Green Spot Chateau Montelena, which is finished for 12 months in French oak Zinfandel from the prestigious Chateau Montelena in Napa Valley, California which also comes in at 46% ABV.The Green Spot isn’t an overly complex whiskey, but that isn’t a bad thing. It gives you a nice introduction to the texture and taste of a typical Irish pot still whiskey, and what that can deliver. It falls short with the ABV and if this was 46% like the other variations, I think this would be even better.
